The chessmen of this set has been handcarved and -polished from high grade boxwood and sheesham, for a natural wooden look. The kings measure 3.75" in height (ca. 95mm) and a base diameter of 1.5" suggests a board of 2" square size or bigger (50mm), depending on personal taste. The pieces are double-weighted for improved stability on the board, giving them a greater resilience of accidentally knocking them down. On the bottom, a green felt pad is attached to allow easy sliding of the pieces across the board and avoiding loud knocks.
